Art Show | Cowichan Artisans | April 2 – April 16, 2024

I will have some of my work done at this Cowichan Valley art show alongside other members of the Cowichan Artisans group.

About Jennifer Lawson:

Jennifer Lawson was born in Yorkshire. Lawson began to soak up the brilliant colours around her at an early age, admiring the warm tones around the country cottages and trailing over garden fences. Then, her young eye was seduced by the sight of rich Indian textiles and lush patterns while travelling in India in the late 1960s. Later, she found her expression in her exuberant and charming paintings.

Lawson earned two honours art degrees, one from the University of Guelph and another from Georgian College. She also received the scholarship for her highest achievements and best student. In addition, Lawson studied further at the Ontario College of Art and Schneider School of Fine Art.
